IELTS Writing Practice

60 original practice questions across all four writing formats. Browse by question type, topic and level, or let a random pick choose your next task. These are teaching materials, not recalled exam questions or predictions.

Choose a format below, read the question, and make a short plan before writing. Try a timed attempt, compare your approach with the sample, then revise one specific weakness. No account is needed to explore the library or start writing.

Random picks respect every filter and avoid repeats until you have seen the matching set. They do not change your editor draft. Practice levels are teaching guidance, not predicted IELTS bands.

Semi-formal letters: Write to someone you know in an official context, such as a manager or neighbour. Stay polite and direct without sounding either distant or overly casual.
