Who prepares the material?

Our writing resources are credited to English Test Coach as the publisher and authoring organisation. AI drafting tools assist the development of the site and teaching material; English Test Coach is responsible for what it publishes.

The examples use original questions, fictional chart data and illustrative situations. They are designed to help you practise planning, develop a reason, compare evidence and review your own answer. Sample answers and target-band study labels are teaching examples, rather than official examiner scores.

Sources behind the guidance

For test requirements and assessment criteria, start with the official sources. Our explanations and worked examples are independent teaching material.

How to use the examples

Plan your response before reading a sample. Compare the explanation with the question, check whether each claim follows from the supplied information, then write your own answer. Hypothetical examples illustrate an argument; they are not research findings.

Guides link to relevant questions, full samples and lessons. When a recorded content-update date is available, it appears beside the author credit. An unrelated software release does not refresh that date.

Feedback, independence and help
